Privacy Policy

Sequence (“we”) turns the video clips you upload into finished short-form videos. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to hello@getsequence.app.

What we collect

• Waitlist:your email address, and optionally what you film for and how many videos you want a week. If you arrived through someone’s referral link, we record that link’s code.
• Account: your email address and a password, which is stored hashed by our authentication provider. We never see it in plain text.
• Your content: the video clips and photos you upload, the product details you enter, and the videos we render for you.
• Settings and usage: your caption and style preferences, your job history, and push notification tokens if you turn notifications on.

How we use it

• To make your videos: analysing your footage, planning edits, writing hooks and captions, and rendering.
• To run your account, send your invite, and tell you when your videos are ready.
• To decide who gets invited next from the waitlist.
• To fix problems and improve the product.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use your footage to advertise without asking you first.

Who processes it for us

• Supabase: accounts, sign-in and our database.
• Cloudflare R2: storage for uploaded clips and finished videos.
• Google (Gemini API): AI analysis of your footage and speech, used only to produce your edit.
• Railway: the servers that run the app and render your videos.

Each handles data only as needed to provide their service to us. These providers store and process data in the United States, so if you’re outside the US, your data is transferred there to provide the service.

This website

getsequence.app doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and its fonts and videos are served from our own servers, so visiting doesn’t send your details to anyone else. When you join the waitlist, your browser keeps a small note (in local storage) so the page remembers you’ve joined. Clearing your browser data removes it.

How long we keep it

Uploaded clips and finished videos are kept for 30 days so you can re-download them, then deleted. Your footage is never used to train AI models. Your waitlist entry and account details are kept until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Email hello@getsequence.appto see what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or leave the waitlist. We’ll act on it within 30 days. We only email you about your waitlist spot and your account.

If you’re in the EU or UK, we hold your waitlist email because you asked to join, and your account data to provide the service you signed up for. You can withdraw from the waitlist at any time, and you can complain to your local data protection authority. If you’re in California, we don’t sell or share your personal information, and you can ask us what we hold and to delete it, as above.

Children

Sequence isn’t meant for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell account holders by email.
